Athletics

Having played football for 16 years and having been a full scholarship athlete at Northwestern, I’m often met with surprise when people find out I don’t watch or follow any sports. So, although I can definitely talk about sports generally, if you were to ask me something specific about a player or team, it is likely I will not have the answer.

However, I do enjoy being an athlete. For fun, here is my high school highlight tape:

I also care about physical and mental health and in the past worked as a personal trainer (ACSM-CPT, although I let it lapse) and cycling instructor (Schwinn Indoor Cycling Cert) for NU Recreation after I medically retired from football. I currently serve as the de facto personal trainer for all of my close friends.

And occasionally I still like to do things like this when at the gym:

But more often it’s like this:

Because dunking is a lot of fun :)

If you made it this far, you might as well check out this video of me doing trick dunks in slow-mo. I was looking for a reason to try out the slow-mo mode on my drone and this worked out nicely. Enjoy!
